Oscuridad, roto y enojo / Darkness, broken and angry

Oscuridad, roto y enojo
Darkness, broken and angry

No deseaba volver a mi realidad.

No quería saber nada. Me caía en el hígado el “All you need is love”.

Darkness, broken and angry

I gave myself, surrendered, enjoying the darkness. I was in a space completely without light. At best I saw the light of a cigarette while it consumed but could not see my own hand. I felt like my body molecules dispersed into nothingness. I kept my eyes open , if I closed them some colors appeared, shadows, flashes. I wanted total darkness, time and thoughts disappeared, it was nothingness. Silence, silence, silence. It was the darkness. I reached to merge by timeless moments in the deepest darkness. I did not want to return to my reality.

But damn.. my body and its needs... forced me to sneak out to feed it. Days passed and hunger decreased. I wanted to separate myself from the world, give up, disconnect. I avoided television, the "web". I didn’t want to know anything . And damned (or lucky) the dates on which the darkness invaded me . Already had been falling for weeks. I was yearning hard for death. But I couldn’t totally disconnect myself. I had -have- a mixture of love, anger and indignation. I did not want to expose myself to envy, bitterness, loneliness, or the superficiality of the demonstrations of pink love of couples, friends, family, happiness in social networks. They were causing me nausea. "All you need is love" got me a liver ache. But I could not help but connect at times. Because love is not just a fucking Cupid, is not only pinky, not limited to roses and chocolates. Celebrate love only that way I feel is banal and selfish. Not to mention the mercantile side. The love that made me connect it’s a love that hurts, indignated, angry, bleeding that forced me out of the silence of the darkness, out of nothingness, where time does not exist, even the here and now. Love emerged, solidary, outraged, desperate, painful. I could not help but follow the events in Venezuela . I could not reach the indifference and keep myself in the dark. I could not evade the publications of my Venezuelan friends. I'm so moved, so full of admiration for the students and citizens who have taken the streets to fight for their freedom with the only weapon of their presence. By their compatriots across the borders that do not close the eye to accompany them in  the distance. I can only put together my pieces and join them.
Note : With this entry ends this blog. I'll start a new one titled " Crisis and Opportunity: The life of a bipolar " .

Finalmente la crisis ha llegado…
Finally, the crisis has arrived ...

Me siento derrotado, arrinconado.

Finally, the crisis has arrived ...

Depression has invade me again with full force. I don’t know if I will be able to overcome it this time. I've done it several times, but I'm too tired, bored, I have no desire to ask for help. I’ve been in isolation for days now. I'm rationing the few resources left to eat. I have been fighting for nearly 20 years almost always alone. To date I feel my bipolar condition is not fully understood by my family or by society as a whole. Stigma and ignorance are overwhelming. "New age" axioms and psychology reduced to simplistic sentences cause me  aversion, nausea. They make me feel guilty about my situation. I feel defeated, cornered. But I know I've given my best, I have that consolation. Do not know what is going to happen in the coming days or weeks but I will strive to the best of my ability to write and do artwork so that my experience is registered.

Me apago / I fade away

Me apago
I fade away

I fade away

The time vanishes. The past and future cease to exist, there is no resentment or anger, no expectations or illusions. The present, the moment, has become synonymous of tedium of repetition. I wake up, take the pills to go to the waiting room. Music, writing, drawing and dreaming have become boring and I'm still waiting. I'm stuck in the labyrinth of the second. The daily hope is the end of the day. Comes the end, I take the night pills, I die and wake up again. And repeats. It's all …

El vendedor ha muerto / The salesman has died

El vendedor ha muerto
The salesman has died

The salesman has died

Another confession : I do not like to sell, I dislike marketing, advertising. The seller inside me has died and I hope he won’t resurrect. I am Artist and Internationalist , those are my jobs. And I will not waste energy on selling my artwork and political analysis. I will not suppress my jobs because I can not sell them. If I feel  to make portraits of people I admire, I like, that incites me, I give a fuck whether I sell them or not. Simply I do it because it feels right . If my personal artworks get sell or not, I also could care less, because for me it is a necessity of expression and sharing. If my analysis and opinions on matters of politics have a prize or worth something in terms of money, well I don't give a fuck . I will continue to write what I think . If my enterprise, my vessel, which is myself, is left stranded in the desert for lack of resources I do not care. I am here to self fulfillment, to evolve as a human being . I'm not here to sell myself.

De amor, soledad y redes sociales…/About love , loneliness and social networks...

De amor, soledad y redes sociales…
About love , loneliness and social networks...

No sé si mi condición bipolar, mi circunstancia, mi oficio, no sé. Me hizo bien.

About love , loneliness and social networks ...
A couple of days I saw the movie "HER" and it marked me deeply , I still thinking about it. A friend comment how social networking and technology has dehumanized us, but at the same time has brought us together. I won’t tell you  the plot of the movie but has a lot to do with that topic.
Nowadays it is sometimes very difficult to capture the attention of the people in live. As if they were all in a symbiosis with their smartphone. Many can not drink coffee, eat or have a conversation without the damn device. I personally do not have a smartphone, or tablet, but I invest a lot of time on my computer, on Facebook, on my blogs and working with images. In Facebook appear all the time posts that suggest to have real interaction with live people, more direct. And I agree, it is annoying and I think it 's rude to be with someone and that person is just with her/his smart phone. One feels avoided, a ghost.
Yet, these tools of interaction with others has helped me to not feel so alone. And more than that, I've fallen in love a few times with pure chat, words. Some people tell me that's not real, that is virtual love. But for someone like me who has not had a "normal" relationship in about 10 years, it is vital to feel love, even if I get my heart broken. I'm not saying I do not need physical contact, because I really yearn for it. 2 years ago , I had some money but I was not having luck with a couple of women I liked. I do not know if my bipolar condition, my circumstances, my work, do not know . Everyone has their history, battles and sometimes even if you want to join a social circle is not easy to be accepted, or already have their routines or do not have time in a world running dizzily or simply you do not meet the expectations of what a man should be in today's society . There are a thousand reasons... Anyway, one day I was with a deep, melancholy, longing, desire to feel the body of a woman. It had passed years since I felt the contact with the skin of a woman. I decided to go with a prostitute. I had a good time. She was a very nice, Dominican girl (love the accent). We enjoyed it and although I didn't reach an orgasm I felt so human, so vulnerable, so sensual. She made me feel good. I was still able to feel with my body the skin of a woman.
The point is that there are people like me that don’t not have the resources to have an active social life. We can not invite a woman a cup of wine on weekends, we have no car, and in some cases we are simply alone for various reasons. So, in my case, to have contact with some people through these social tools is very important.. Sometimes just a few phrases confirming that I exist is enough to have a good sleep.

Mi más grande miedo / My greatest fear

Mi más grande miedo
My greatest fear

Tengo pavor a desperdiciar mi vida.

Padre,
Lo siento,
Perdóname,
Te amo,
Gracias!

My greatest fear
I 'll confess the deepest fear that I have and is the INDIGENCE: stay on the street , no food, depending on some kind souls to eat without my medication and wander in a psychotic state: No dignity , unable to give anything , hating myself and to screw the things up with over arrogance. I have repeated many times that is the only scenario where I would contemplate taking my own life, I stated it. I panic of the idea of wasting my life . Death, in this case , it would be kind of a relief. In my empathetic exercises is so painful to wear those shoes. I get so afraid .
Death, I feel that I have managed to see it as a companion, a lover, the beginning of a new adventure. Of course I 'm afraid of the moment when you die , but it's another kind of fear . It's like a parachute jump, or taking a dive from a great height or falling in love . It is a fear, a stress that I enjoy. I already had an experience in one of my psychotic episodes in which I assumed that I had died and I was in another dimension. It gave me a kind of panic, but not necessarily. I was suffering intensely for the pain that I could have been causing to my mother. Anyway, I was in a clinic and they overdose me with pills. I was like a zombie , a ghost for a couple of weeks and then return to this plane ( on my other blog I will tell you in detail ) .
The thing is that I have long had shortages of certain basic needs, but not until late last year I decided to confront me, experiencing my deepest fear properly (maybe there are others fears that I do not yet reach to recognize) . My mother had already left for one and half year . Fortunately we left nothing pending , there were not resentments and we forgave us what we had to forgive. She left knowing that I loved her and vice versa.

As I was telling, at the end of 2013, I was pennyless (still), I had very little food , not to mention the personal hygiene products ( which are a soap, toothpaste and toilet roll ) . I was all alone at that time that is supposed to be for  family and friends . There were several days when I had no need to talk. I was silent. But not all the time was like that. A friend invited me to lunch at his house once. A friend of my mother helped me with some money. My cousin gave me a basic pantry. Another friend send me some money. I could eat decently on those dates. And I remembered a phrase from a Chi Gong teacher who said "Not only you have to learn to give, but to receive as well". And then I reviewed that last year and a half and I remembered a friend, my yoga teacher,  who had given me so many things and had supported me in different ways and how grateful I was and am with her. I reconfirmed that I can receive without guilt, without shame, without my dignity sullied .
Paradoxically, these last 2 years have been the most productive of my life. Also in the first half I reached the best physical condition that I have had since I was a kid. That work is not yet reflected in abundance, but I feel I had to re-experience a radical detachment so my freedom can fly better and gracefully. So I proceeded to take the dive into the void. The worst scenario was death, but for me as I said is another adventure . It was a very difficult and intensely painful days, some were enlighting. In fact, right now that I'm writing these lines the expperience has not concluted. Fortunately I'm in Costa Rica and I live under a tree of "cases" ( fruit of Costa Rica ) and other of mandarins. I will not starve myself to death . In fact although if I were homeless I could walk to certain areas of this country where mangoes fall all around, I've also witnessed first hand people who have very little and  often they are the most generous, they know what hunger is.
On the other hand, there were times that old resentments resurfaced, especially with my father. I had made certain detachment , but nothing, there is resentment . And I want to remove it once and for all. And that does not mean we will have a close relationship, I don´t  really know what could happen. Anyway, a great friend recommended the technique of " Family Constellations ". I knew something about it, but had not taken it very seriously . I went with the therapist who my friend recommended and saw that indeed that was the problem. I know that my father has not have an easy life, he has suffered greatly . Several experiences have left him very deep scars. But he is a great human being . I understood and feel that long time ago. But resentment resurfaced stronger than ever knowing that he had not or could not support me in real terms under the circumstances  that I am living . Well, sometimes he expressed himself in a way that is somewhat passive - aggressive to me and assume things that are not , but anyway ... The recommendation of my old therapist was to get separated from him emotionally , detach,  because he was doing a lot of damage and so I did.
So yesterday a dear friend invited me to swim, she is very involved in the technique of "Family Constellations " . We had an argument, which did not affected much our frienship (I hope), but it moved a lot of things internally. I got home and I saw a "post" of my friend who is into the " Family Constellations " where the Dalai Lama appeared along with the concept of  "detachment ". I visited the page Sowelu ( http://www.constelaciones.com.mx/index1.html ) and saw a couple of interviews of my friend’s mother, Ingala Robl , and although I knew the burden of the family and how one get conditioned by it,  I had not understood quite well, felt it so clearly until I heard Ingala. So right now I will take the opportunity to say a few words to my father that a dear friend taught me about forgiveness and reconciliation of an ancient Hawaiian tradition called Ho'ponopono :

Father,
Sorry
Forgive me.
I love you ,
Thank you !
